Dear Panther Lake Families,

As we settle into the new school year, I want to take a moment to emphasize something that has a tremendous impact on student success: school attendance matters!

Every school day is an opportunity for your child to learn, grow, build relationships, and develop the habits they need to be successful. This is true for every student in every grade level, from kindergarten through fifth grade. When students are frequently absent or arrive late, they miss important instruction, classroom discussions, hands-on learning experiences, and opportunities to connect with their classmates and teachers. Even a few missed days can make it more difficult for students to keep up with new learning.

We understand that children will occasionally be sick or have circumstances that require them to miss school. However, when your child is healthy and able to attend, please make school attendance a priority. Helping your child attend school regularly is one of the most important ways you can support their academic and personal growth.

We want to sincerely thank our Panther Lake families for your continued cooperation with our arrival and dismissal procedures. Following these procedures helps us keep our students, families, and staff safe while also keeping traffic moving efficiently.

As a reminder:

Please do not drop students off before 8:15 AM. Our staff are not available to supervise students in the car loop before that time. If you let your child out of your car at 8:05, you are liable for their safety. According to Florida law, schools are not responsible for students until 30 minutes before the start of the school day. 

We love seeing the excitement of students arriving at school, and we understand that parents want to capture those special moments. However, using your phone to take videos or pictures while driving creates a safety concern and can distract you from the traffic and students around you. Please wait until you have safely parked or exited the car loop before using your phone.

Our arrival and dismissal routines work best when everyone follows the same procedures. Thank you for being patient, staying alert, and helping us make safety our top priority.

We appreciate your partnership and all that you do each day to help your child have a successful school experience. Together, we can make sure our Panthers are present, prepared, and ready to learn every day!
